I have been doing the first tests with copper powder. From the first test it is clear that it is possible to print copper with the blue 30 watt laser.
After doing some more tests it is clear that it is possible to print pure copper, however the limited energy in the 30 watt laser is limiting the maximum density to about 70%, this is dense enough to not crumble under low pressure but not strong enough to be able to hold a real mechanical load.
So for this laser I believe it is not really possible to make high density copper parts(>90% density) However this does show that it is very close so with a slightly more powerfull laser with a smaller spot it would be possible to make high density parts.
