We recently attended the AM for Production event, marking a significant milestone for the final assembly of The Metal 1.0.
Back in our Geldrop workshop, we pulled one of the first production systems ahead of schedule to complete its full wiring, initial power-on, and movement tests. The mechanics performed flawlessly, so we packed the system up and brought it straight to the exhibition floor.
During the event, we ran live dry-run print cycles to give attendees a close-up look at the system's mechanical precision. Running continuously under load, the machine demonstrated the exact coordination of the XY gantry, the recoater, and the dual-piston powder supply moving material into the right-side overflow bin.
It was fantastic to connect with the additive manufacturing community and showcase the hardware in action as we finalize this first production batch.
Watch a quick clip of our live dry runs at the event.
