We recently wrapped up an amazing weekend exhibiting at Maker Faire Hannover, and the response to The Metal 1.0 was phenomenal! We put the system through its paces, running the printer live on the exhibition floor across all three days without a single hitch.
During the event, we showcased live 316L stainless steel prints, featuring complex geometries like Pikachu alongside Rocky from Project Hail Mary directly on the build plate.

Traditionally, industrial LPBF systems run well over €100,000. By utilizing a diode laser on a precision XY gantry, we fuse standard industrial metal powders layer by layer. While the process trades a bit of speed for drastically lower hardware costs, the mechanical density and strength rival conventional manufacturing methods.
To prove the structural integrity, attendees tested our printed Corrax (SS CX) samples. In the video, you can watch the host take on the load-cell vice challenge, applying force to a 3mm printed Corrax test piece until it finally yielded at over 750kg!
